Sibast Furniture, a renowned name in the realm of Scandinavian furniture, has been crafting timeless pieces since 1908. With its roots deeply embedded in Danish design heritage, Sibast Furniture is a testament to high-quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and sustainability.

The History of Sibast Furniture

The story of Sibast Furniture begins in the countryside of Denmark on the island of Funen. In 1908, a skilled cabinetmaker named Helge Sibast was born. He grew up to be his father’s apprentice, working diligently and developing high-quality craftsmanship skills.

Helge Sibast took over his father’s business and began expanding, thinking about craftsmanship in a new way and creating his own designs. By the 1950s and 60s, he had built a furniture factory employing over 120 craftsmen, crafting some of the finest furniture in Danish design history. The furniture was sold around the world. The company was called Sibast Furniture.

In 1985, Helge Sibast passed away and Sibast Furniture was no longer in the family. However, in the spring of 2013, Helge Sibast’s grandson Ditlev and his wife Anna Sibast discovered a forgotten beauty designed by Helge Sibast in 1953 – the chair Sibast No 8. They decided to re-launch the Danish Design Classic under the name Sibast Furniture. This marked the beginning of a new journey for the Sibast family.

The Quality of Sibast Furniture

Sibast Furniture is known for its excellent quality and craftsmanship. The company’s commitment to quality is etched into every joint and seam of its furniture. Each piece is more than just furniture; it’s a promise of warmth, a nod to durability, and a toast to modern living.

The company’s furniture is carefully crafted, inviting comfort and conversation, turning the ordinary into extraordinary. With a touch of Scandinavian charm, Sibast’s designs bring to your doorstep the purity of minimalism and the promise of relaxation.

Sibast Furniture’s collection is manufactured according to sustainable principles and exclusively uses sustainable wood. To Sibast Furniture, sustainability is not only a question of materials and manufacturing methods. The furniture must also embody a manifest beauty – a powerful aesthetic value that is viable in the very long term.
