Union Stool

With a pared-down sensibility and aura of calm, the Union Series introduces a robust collection of seating and surfaces that finds utility and comfort in restraint. The Union Stool is lightweight and easy to move from setting to setting, store in interiors with limited space, and use as a standalone piece or as an ottoman with the Union Easy Chair. The mesh material maintains flexibility between indoor and outdoor use. The linen fabric should only be used indoors.

Designer Michael Antrobus is a British designer based in Copenhagen, where he runs his own studio across furniture and accessories. His practice is materials led, built on an experimental approach to making. For Frama he designed the Union Series, a group of seating and low tables on a hand brushed, waxed aluminum frame. Seats come in mesh or linen, and the pieces can be taken apart for storage. Brand

Frama is a Copenhagen design studio creating furniture, lighting, and everyday objects guided by natural materials, simple geometries, and permanence. Founded by Niels Strøyer Christophersen, the studio works from St. Pauls Apotek, a preserved 1878 apothecary in central Copenhagen, and its collections span the modular Shelf Library, seating, lighting, and an apothecary line of soaps and scents. Each piece is designed to age with use and keep its character over time.
