The Eclipse Desk is a celebration of materials and form. Named after its concave and convex form that resembles the illuminated passage of celestial bodies in the sky, the Fred Rigby design has a distinctive, asymmetrical silhouette that invites to touch. Available in solid oak, dark-oiled oak and oiled natural oak with a black painted leg, the tabletop is fitted with a lid that lifts to reveal hidden storage within the supportive steel column, ensuring desk space remains free of clutter. Designed to stand alone as a centerpiece in the middle of a room or for placement up against a wall as a more conventional piece of home office furniture, its intriguing form draws the eye.
Designer
Fred Rigby, a product and furniture designer originally from Dorset, draws inspiration from the natural landscapes of his upbringing. After earning his degree from Kingston University in London, he honed his skills in fiberglass casting and CNC technologies while collaborating with various designers and artists. Based in his eponymous London studio, he recently gained recognition from ELLE Decoration as one of the top ten British designers to watch. His notable works include The Eclipse Desk for Audo Copenhagen.
