System Ultra Cabinet

Cabinets for System Ultra hang from the wall rail alongside the shelves, so storage lifts off the floor with the rest of the system.

Three kinds: two sliding doors in wood, an open cabinet with an adjustable shelf, and an open cabinet with a drawer.

Poul Cadovius designed System Ultra in 1957. Cabinets need rails to hang from, sold separately.

Designer Poul Cadovius (1911-2011) trained as an upholsterer before founding his furniture company, Royal System, in 1945. His idea was to move furniture off the floor and onto the walls, leaving more space in the room, and it gave rise to Royal System (1948), System Ultra (1957) and System Cado (1960). Over his career he held more than 400 patents. In 2009, at the age of 98, he was approached by DK3 founder Jacob Plejdrup to relaunch Royal System, and today DK3 holds the licences for all three systems and the Pia Chair. Brand
