System Cado Shelf

Shelves for System Cado hang from the wall rail on brass fittings, and move up or down whenever the room changes.

Three kinds: two plain shelf depths and a desk shelf deep enough to work at.

Poul Cadovius designed System Cado in 1960 as a refinement of his wall-mounted Royal System. Shelves need a rail to hang from, sold separately.

Designer Poul Cadovius (1911-2011) trained as an upholsterer before founding his furniture company, Royal System, in 1945. His idea was to move furniture off the floor and onto the walls, leaving more space in the room, and it gave rise to Royal System (1948), System Ultra (1957) and System Cado (1960). Over his career he held more than 400 patents. In 2009, at the age of 98, he was approached by DK3 founder Jacob Plejdrup to relaunch Royal System, and today DK3 holds the licences for all three systems and the Pia Chair. Brand
