System Cado Cabinet

Cabinets for System Cado hang from the wall rail alongside the shelves, so storage lifts off the floor with the rest of the system.

Six kinds: push doors, three drawers, a bar and desk drop-front on its own or with a mirror and shelf, and sliding doors in wood or glass.

Poul Cadovius designed System Cado in 1960 as a refinement of his wall-mounted Royal System. Cabinets need rails to hang from, sold separately.

Cabinets hang on the System Cado rail and can be moved up or down at any time.
The push door and sliding door cabinets include one shelf.
We recommend a maximum load of 33 lbs per shelf and 33 lbs on an open drop-front.

Designer Poul Cadovius (1911-2011) trained as an upholsterer before founding his furniture company, Royal System, in 1945. His idea was to move furniture off the floor and onto the walls, leaving more space in the room, and it gave rise to Royal System (1948), System Ultra (1957) and System Cado (1960). Over his career he held more than 400 patents. In 2009, at the age of 98, he was approached by DK3 founder Jacob Plejdrup to relaunch Royal System, and today DK3 holds the licences for all three systems and the Pia Chair. Brand
