Single Shelf, Natural Oak

The Single Shelf is a refined take on a classic, its character inspired by shelving considered a staple in Danish homes as early as the 1930s. Carpenters would attach generic brackets, similar to those now used in the Single Shelf, to custom shelving, cut down to fit. A versatile design for bedside, kitchen, office, storage, and display. Note: Single Shelves are designed to be wall-mounted and are not compatible with the Shelf Library System.

Designer Kim Richardt is a Danish designer whose work draws on the functional tradition of Scandinavian rail-mounted shelving, a form that spread through the region's workshops in the 1930s. His Shelf Library for Frama distills that heritage into an infinitely modular system of shelves and rails with visible stainless steel hardware, made to adapt to any space and produced in solid oak, warm white steel, and stainless steel. Brand

Frama is a Copenhagen design studio creating furniture, lighting, and everyday objects guided by natural materials, simple geometries, and permanence. Founded by Niels Strøyer Christophersen, the studio works from St. Pauls Apotek, a preserved 1878 apothecary in central Copenhagen, and its collections span the modular Shelf Library, seating, lighting, and an apothecary line of soaps and scents. Each piece is designed to age with use and keep its character over time.
