Shelf Library Canvas Cabinet

The Shelf Library Canvas Cabinet takes inspiration from the traditional Japanese Noren, a fabric divider hanging in doorways or windows often used to partition spaces and provide privacy. The heavy canvas fabric creates a clean, minimal look while providing a practical solution for hiding clutter and objects. This cabinet does not come with rails and cannot be mounted directly to the wall. It is designed to mount onto the Shelf Library system, either added to an existing setup or as the start of a new one.

Designer Kim Richardt is a Danish designer whose work draws on the functional tradition of Scandinavian rail-mounted shelving, a form that spread through the region's workshops in the 1930s. His Shelf Library for Frama distills that heritage into an infinitely modular system of shelves and rails with visible stainless steel hardware, made to adapt to any space and produced in solid oak, warm white steel, and stainless steel. Brand

Frama is a Copenhagen design studio creating furniture, lighting, and everyday objects guided by natural materials, simple geometries, and permanence. Founded by Niels Strøyer Christophersen, the studio works from St. Pauls Apotek, a preserved 1878 apothecary in central Copenhagen, and its collections span the modular Shelf Library, seating, lighting, and an apothecary line of soaps and scents. Each piece is designed to age with use and keep its character over time.
