Royal System Rail
The rail is the backbone of Royal System. It fixes to the wall and carries every shelf and cabinet in the system, so the furniture lifts off the floor entirely.
Poul Cadovius designed the system in 1948 as one of the world's first wall-mounted furniture systems, on the principle of moving furniture off the floor and onto the walls to add space and light to a room.
Rails come in three lengths and six wood finishes. Hangers, self supports and keys are available in brass or stainless steel at the same price. To plan a full configuration, use DK3's online configurator or contact us.

Notes
The rail carries the shelves and cabinets of the Royal System. Order one rail per vertical line.
Each shelf holds up to 33 lbs and may deflect slightly over time.
Shelves on brass hangers deflect a little more than on steel, because brass is the softer metal.
Not compatible with Royal System parts made before 1985.
Treatment
Oil or soap. Oak and walnut are also available in matt lacquer at the same price.
Care
Avoid direct sunlight and heat from radiators or other heat sources.
Maintain a consistent humidity of 30-60%.
Avoid placing hot or damp objects directly on the furniture.
