Plateau Coffee and Side Table

Plateau is a beautiful and timeless coffee- and side table with an understated personality, combining a solid wooden top with an elegant tripod steel base.

The table is developed with inspiration from a tree trunk, and designer Søren Rose simply imagined the Plateau tabletops being cut out as beautiful raw “slices” directly from the tree trunk. During the entire design process, Søren Rose kept removing details from the original sketches and ended up with this very minimalistic yet sophisticated table.

Designer Danish designer Søren Rose founded Soren Rose Studio in 2009, with offices in New York and Copenhagen, focusing on residential living through bespoke interior and product design. His work pairs natural simplicity, strong personality and responsible quality, joining modern design with the classical traditions of Danish furniture, and he looks for the details that let a piece outlast any trend.
