Pira Assembly Kit

Mounting kits for the Pira shelving system. The floor to ceiling kit includes two plates which attach to the ceiling and floor, and a cord with a plumb that creates a connection point to the floor. The wall kit includes the parts for assembling a wall mounted shelf. Pira generation two is a contemporary interpretation of the original Pira from 1954, designed by Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström. The modular system can be freestanding with floor to ceiling tension, or wall mounted.

Designer Architect and designer Anna von Schewen is considered one of Sweden's most progressive and experimental designers, and has designed several products for String Furniture together with her partner Björn Dahlström. Dahlström is a well established Swedish industrial designer whose work is represented in museums around the world, including the National Museum for Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
