Baia Counter Stool

Based on the exclusive Baia Chair, introduced in 2021, Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro has created a counter stool that elegantly unites Danish and Japanese design aesthetics. Inspired by the shape of a bay, the signature curved C-shaped backrest creates a soft contrast to the raw, structural elements of the frame.

The frame is available in either chrome-plated or powder-coated steel and is produced using a complex welding process. An integrated footrest ensures a comfortable seating experience.

Designer Kensaku Oshiro was born on Okinawa in 1977 and moved to Italy, graduating from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan in 1999. After working for design studios in Milan and London, he opened his own studio in Milan in 2015. His work spans product design, architecture and craftsmanship, and each project begins with the core values of the culture and place it is made for. His awards include first prize at the Design Report Award at SaloneSatellite in 2006 and a Wallpaper Design Award in 2022. For DK3 he designed the Baia collection. Brand
