Designer Poul M. Volther (1923–2001) was a key figure in Danish design, known for creating functional, high-quality furniture rooted in craftsmanship and suited for everyday living. As head of FDB Møbler’s design studio from 1950 to 1955, he introduced iconic pieces like the J46 chair—one of Denmark’s best-selling chairs. He later designed the famed Corona chair and became a lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Brand
