PH Hat Wall Lamp

The fixture emits indirect 100% glare-free light. The light emission depends on the angle of the screen, which can be tilted from 0° to about 67°. The shade is rose coloured on the inside, giving the light a warm tone.

PH Hat, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1961, was originally manufactured in two sizes. PH’s aim with P-hat was to design a lamp for bedroom lighting, among other applications. The rose colored shade interior provides a soft pleasant light. Only the smaller version is available today. P-hat is suitable for foyers, stairways and passageways.

Designer Poul Henningsen (1894-1967) was a highly influential Danish designer, architect, writer, and cultural critic, renowned for his pioneering work in lighting design, which remains integral to Louis Poulsen’s heritage. Born in Copenhagen to writers Agnes Henningsen and Carl Ewald, Henningsen initially practiced functionalist architecture but became famous for his innovative lighting designs.
