Aino + Alvar Aalto: A Life Together (Hardcover)

A visual biography of Aino and Alvar Aalto, who together founded Artek and created some of the most celebrated objects and buildings of the twentieth century. Written warmly and accessibly by their grandson, it draws on the family's largely unpublished archive of letters, documents, drawings, snapshots and sketches to tell the story of their life together, in Finland and abroad, up to Aino's death in 1949. It is the first monograph to specifically examine and celebrate their life and work as a shared endeavour.
