PH 4½-3 Outdoor Wall Lamp
The fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the light downwards. The shades have a matte white painted inside to ensure diffuse, comfortable light distribution.
Poul Henningsen designed the three-shade system in 1925-1926, aiming to create glare-free lighting with soft shadows. This system, developed with Louis Poulsen, includes around 1,000 models of table, floor, wall, and chandelier lights, known for their even light distribution based on the logarithmic spiral. PH Wall, launched in 1966, is part of this family and features a 45 cm top shade with lower shades from the 3/3 model, offering a unique hybrid design for lower-hanging pendants.
