Taper Mirror
A wall mirror in a slim steel frame, part of the Taper series by Jonas Herman of Herman Studio for Form & Refine. It comes square or as a tall rectangle twice the height. The frame is the same tapered profile as the Taper shelves, rolled to a soft edge, so the glass reads as a plain rectangle of reflection sitting flush and quiet on the wall. Either size hangs horizontally or vertically: the square suits a hallway, bathroom or bedroom, alone or beside the Taper Mirror Cabinet, while the tall mirror gives a near half-length view upright or runs above a console or a basin on its side.
Designer
Herman Studio is a Copenhagen design practice founded in 2012 by architects Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen, working across furniture, lighting, ceramics, textiles and interiors. Each piece begins in the workshop with a close study of how it will be built, then moves through sketches, models and prototypes until a single clear outline remains. That focus on contour is what makes their designs for Form & Refine simple to read at a glance and easy to recognise.
