Monolith Side Table

A small solid wood block that works as a side table, a low table or a step stool. Jonas Herman of Herman Studio took the form from the Arc de Triomphe, two solid pillars carrying a flat top, and reduced it to the essentials. A wood-joining technique leaves the grain of the oak or ash on show at every face. It is heavy for its size, sits firmly on the floor and is built to be passed on.
