Designer

Jens Risom studied at the Copenhagen School of Industrial Arts and Design with Hans Wegner and Børge Mogensen. Moving to New York in 1939, he partnered with Hans Knoll to launch the Hans Knoll Furniture Company, creating iconic designs. After WWII, Risom founded Jens Risom Design (JRD) in 1946, promoting Scandinavian design in America and later shifting to office furniture.
