Poul Henningsen

Poul Henningsen (1894 to 1967) designed the three shade system for Louis Poulsen in 1925 and spent four decades refining glare free light. The PH 5 of 1958 and the PH Artichoke, designed the same year for Copenhagen's Langelinie Pavilion, remain his best known lamps.

The 3½-2½ Floor Lamp Centenary Edition is based on Poul Henningsen’s System PH and features a three-shade set with White Opal lower shades and an Amber upper shade, all glossy on the outside and sandblasted matte white on the inner side to ensure a soft diffused and glare-free light and a high level of light comfort. The amber-coloured upper shade provides pleasant ambient upward glow.
