Bodil Kjærs’ design has been called ‘The most beautiful desk in the world’ – or, the ‘James Bond desk’ as it was featured prominently in three early Bond movies.

Designer

Danish architect, designer, and professor Bodil Kjær (born 1932) gained international acclaim for her iconic midcentury designs, which blended Scandinavian minimalism with American influences from her time working with Paul McCobb and her admiration for Charles and Ray Eames. Her desk design for MIT, famously featured in early James Bond films, earned her the moniker of designing ‘The most beautiful desk in the world’.
