Spine Lounge Chair

The Spine Lounge pays respect to the traditions of hand upholstering to which Fredericia built its name on, while offering a modern flavour in its own succinct and simple way. The cushions come with optional Velcro fixing.

The Spine series by Fredericia blends strong lines with soft curves to create a dynamic, modern expression rooted in Nordic design traditions. Originally launched as a single piece, the collection now includes a wide range of variants featured in high-end restaurants, hotels, and retail spaces worldwide. The contrast between the upholstery and the base, offered in wood for a classic grounded look or metal for a lighter more contemporary feel, adds dimension and character. Drawing on upholstery techniques developed for Børge Mogensen’s 1960s leather series, Spine combines structure and softness in a cohesive sculptural form that elevates any setting.

Wooden seat shell of moulded plywood.
The seat cushion has CMHR or HR foam core with down/granulate wrap.
Available in fabric or leather, with piping in all stitches.
Cushions are kept in place with Velcro fixtures and are removable for cleaning.
