Product Spotlight
The Rime Pendant Lamp is a take on the classic glass pendant, designed by TAF Studio for Muuto. Its shade is semi-transparent, mouth-blown glass that has been sandblasted, in a form inspired by the shape of acorns.
Founded by Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom, TAF Studio is a Stockholm-based design and architecture practice working to breathe new life into domestic products through refined design. The studio also designed Muuto's Ambit lamps, which appear in our post on Muuto lighting.

The Fiber Armchairs and the Enfold Sideboard in this photo are also Muuto designs, and our post on the Enfold covers the sideboard in detail.
Sandblasted Glass, in Black or White
The top piece and pendant tube are powder-coated aluminum, and the PVC cord matches them in Black or White for a subtle touch. Both finishes share the same sandblasted glass shade.
The Rime can hang on its own, in a line or in a cluster for a modern chandelier.
Three Sizes
The Rime Pendant comes in Small, Medium and Large, each on a 157.5" cable. The Small takes one E12 bulb, and the Medium and Large one E26 bulb each. All three are cULus listed.
The Rime Rail Lamp
The Rime Rail Lamp links three Rime lamps on an aluminum rail with die-cast end pieces, hung on steel aircraft wire, for a softly diffused, uniform light. It works above dining tables, kitchen counters and conference rooms.
It takes three G9 LED bulbs, which come with it, and it is dimmable. The rail lamp measures 43.4" wide, 7.1" deep and 9" high, in Black or White.
The Rime Chandelier
The Rime Chandelier gathers five mouth-blown, sandblasted shades on a square-profile suspension of die-cast and machined aluminum. It is designed for high ceilings, above round tables and dining areas, and its visible screws highlight its modern character.
Each shade is 7.09" across and made with up to 75% recycled glass, and the chandelier is 11.02" high. Five G9 LED bulbs come with it, each with a colour rendering index above 90, it is dimmable, and the shades, suspension and cables can all be replaced.
