Originally designed in 1973, this System 1-2-3 chair is a stunner that is visually light, yet its appeal creates quite the impression. Panton worked systematically with design and function based on a defined theme, which he described as follows: “I wanted to design furniture that grows up out of the floor – to turn the furniture into something organic and never with four legs.”
This piece is an earlier production (1970s) has been fully reupholstered.It features a tufted cushion a long the seat and backrest and is supported by a chrome metal base. An excellent addition to a living space, office, or reading nook. Circa 1970, made in Denmark by Fritz Hansen.
